PHOTOGRAPHY
I didn’t start making photographs until around the mid 1950’s. I pursued photography through the years and into the present. I’ve always been attracted to what I think is beautiful. There was a concept in the late 1950’s and 1960’s, speaking to limited talent, that if you couldn’t make it good, the alternative was to make it weird. This didn’t appeal to me but we “Commercial People”, chuckled about it.
I eventually became involved in the Photography Studio business around 1964. I was involved in various forms of the Commercial Photography Studio business into the late 1970’s.
I did work for a number of Advertising Agencies in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. I also did work for Manufacturing Firms, the Printing Business, Retailers, Modeling Agencies, and others.
I was a member of the Professional Photographers of America.
This section is meant to be a portfolio of some of my photographic work from the 1950’s to the present.
Regarding Glamour Photography, I’ve always thought that beauty was timeless. I tried not to succumb to the style fads of the various times, but rather, to produce pictures of enduring beauty. You will see that some of the photography is definitely dated due to the needs of clients. It has all been a richly rewarding experience for me.
